Level: Dance Tap 6+ yrs

Tap is essential as it is a dance form that helps the young dancer with coordination, rhythm, timing and musicality; giving a child a music foundation which is essential for all forms of dance.

DRESS CODE:

We require our dancers to abide by our dress code. Dress codes are important for many reasons. By having our dancers dress the part, the children will feel more like dancers! Dress codes also instill teamwork and help to maintain focus and energy. Students are permitted to wear tutus, for their safety we will ask them to be removed prior to their time in the gym.

The dress code for Movin’ & Groovin’ is as follows:

Students may wear any comfortable play-appropriate clothing.  Please no denim, zippers, dress ups or dresses. Dance attire is also acceptable. All students will need ballet shoes.

The dress code for Basics 1&2 ballet and tap is as follows:

For girls: Solid black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes

For boys: Comfortable, play based clothing with shirt tucked in to shorts.  Please no denim or zippers. Black ballet shoes and black tap shoes

The dress code for Basics 3 ballet/jazz is as follows:

For girls: Solid black leotard, pink footless or convertible tights and pink ballet shoes are required. Tight/form fitting shorts and shirts may be worn for the jazz portion of the class, but need to be removable should the instructor see necessary.

For boys: Solid white tank top or tshirt, solid black bottoms, black ballet shoes and tan jazz shoes

The dress code for Beginning A&B ballet and jazz is as follows:

For girls: Solid black leotard, pink footed or convertible tights, pink ballet shoes and tan jazz shoes are required. Tight/form fitting shorts and shirts may be worn for the jazz portion of the class, but need to be removable should the instructor see necessary.

For boys: Solid white tank top or tshirt, solid black bottoms, black ballet shoes and tan jazz shoes

The dress code for hip hop is as follows:

Dancers will wear comfortable modest clothing that allows them to move freely and easily. No bare midriffs.  Dancers are required to wear tennis shoes in the dance room and either ballet shoes or gym shoes in the gym. 

The dress code for acro is as follows:

Dancers will wear a comfortable modest leotard that allows them to move freely and easily.  No bare midriffs.  Tight/form fitting shorts may be worn over a leotard, but for safety reasons, tank tops and tshirts are not permitted.

The dress code for creative expressions is as follows:

Dancers will wear a comfortable modest leotard or form fitting active wear that allows them to move freely and easily. Tight/form fitting shirts and shorts may be worn over a leotard, but loose/baggy clothing is not permitted. No bare midriffs.

The dress code for tap is as follows:

Dancers will wear a comfortable modest leotard or form fitting active wear that allows them to move freely and easily. Tight/form fitting shirts and shorts may be worn over a leotard. No bare midriffs.  Black tap shoes are required.
