Art: 8-Class Pass (Ages 10+): Fall & Spring 2019-20

CLASS PASS NOTE:
A 8 class pass is worth 8 instructional hours, with an expiration of one year after the initial purchase date. Students can mix and match the amount of hours used: they can attend once weekly, once every other week or once a month. Once the 8 hours have been utilized, they simply purchase another set of passes according to frequency of use.
Additional passes may be purchased if the student completes 8 classes before the end of the semester by emailing accounts@culturehouse.com, calling 913-393-3141 or stopping by the front desk.

$125 per 8-class pass

ART SPRING SEMESTER ENDS 5/21/20. SUMMER 2020 CLASSES WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE.

This pass allows the student into the following classes:
Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm Cartooning/Illustrations
Wednesday 4:30-5:30pm Drawing/Painting

ART EXPLORER
This course is for students who are interested in exploring a variety of art media in a low stakes, project based format. Each project will explore a different type of media (eg. 3D or 2D art) and a technique using that media (eg. coiling pots, scratchboard art). Beginner and advanced students are equally welcome, as the project can be scaled up or down in difficulty depending on the student’s skill level, interests, and prior experience. 

Project completion ranges from 1-3 weeks depending on the materials used and techniques employed. Students can join in at any point in the year, as there is no prerequisite necessary. Attending in sequence according to the project explored is recommended but not required. Please see the Art Calendar for more information on upcoming projects.

CARTOON/ILLUSTRATION
This course is for students who are wanting to explore how to create their own comics, characters and illustrations via a project based format. Each lesson will feature a new concept or approach that utilizes techniques employed by comic book artists or illustrators. Projects may begin with a brief introduction of an artist and their technique. Beginner and advanced students are equally welcome, as the project can be scaled up or down in difficulty depending on the student's skill level, interests and prior experience. 

Project completion ranges from 1-3 weeks depending on the materials used and techniques employed. Students can join in at any point in the year, as there is no prerequisite necessary. Attending in sequence according to the project explored is recommended but not required. Please see the Art Calendar for more information on upcoming projects.

DRAWING/PAINTING
This course is for students who are interested in exploring a broad range of drawing and painting material via project based objectives. Each project will feature a new technique or material, with project ideas inspired by the works of famous artists and art movements, to ideas found on Instagram and Pinterest. Beginner and advanced students are equally welcome, as the project can be scaled up or down in difficulty depending on the student’s skill level, prior experience and interests. 

Project completion ranges from 1-3 weeks depending on the materials used and techniques employed. Students can join in at any point in the year, as there is no prerequisite necessary. Attending in sequence according to the project explored is recommended but not required. Please see the Art Calendar for more information and scheduling of upcoming projects.
