High School Spanish I
Students will learn Spanish through connections with other subjects, such as music, literature, math, history, health, art, social sciences, geography, and technology. Students will examine Latino/Hispanic culture and explore perspectives of Spanish speakers in regards to family, friends/friendship, sports/athletics, community service, food, social events, and festivities, traveling and computer technology.
This class involves learning Spanish grammar such as definite and indefinite articles, word order and placement, plurals of adjectives, subject pronouns and conjugation of present tense verbs. Songs, dance, cooking, arts and crafts and other activities appropriate for 8th -12th students are incorporated into the class.
