Level: Core Fitness

Core Fitness classes are intended for ages 7 to Adult.  This class focuses on core strength and body awareness.  Great for any athlete looking to improve their performance.  What is Core of the body: Is broadly considered to be the torso.  Functional movements are highly dependent on this part of the body and a lack of CORE muscular development can result in a predisposition to INJURY.  The major muscles of the CORE reside in the area of the belly and the mid and lower back (not the shoulders ) and peripherally included the hips, the shoulder and the neck.

Guidelines for this level 3 Core class: Participants should be able to do front & back handspring and front & back flip on floor and trampoline by themselves. Student should have a strong work ethic and desire to improve.
